San Diego LASIK for Border Patrol

San Diego is a great location to become a border patrol agent. Many potential border patrol agents may fail the vision requirement for the San Diego Border Patrol. At the San Diego LASIK Surgery Institute, it is our goal to help you meet the border patrol vision requirements. We have helped many applicants with their LASIK to improve their uncorrected vision.

The vision requirements for the San Diego Border Patrol:

  • Distance vision without glasses must be equal or better than 20/100 in each eye separately.
  • Distance (binocular) vision must be correctable to 20/20.
  • Depth perception must be equal to or better than 70 seconds of arc.
  • Border Patrol candidates must have normal peripheral visoin.
  • Color vision must be normal. X-Chrome lenses or other artificial devices are not acceptable as a means for correcting color deficiencies.
  • Monocular vision (having only one eye)  is generally disqualifying.
  • Candidates must be able to have pepper spray to the face.
  • Individual diseases will be evaluated separately.
